A Call to Courage - Melissa

We are looking forward to our Freedom Village Groundbreaking on September 4 at 9:00 a.m.! Over the past month, we’ve been working through the city approval process to move forward with construction on this future home for people experiencing homelessness who have significant disabilities.

We’re so excited about the peace and stability Freedom Village will be able to provide for people who haven’t experienced a stable place to call home in a long time.

As we continue sharing the vision behind our Take Courage Capital Campaign, James Whitford recently sat down with Melissa, a guest at the Watered Gardens shelter, to hear her thoughts on courage, her hopes for housing, and what taking courage means to her.
